Meet Katie, who originally joined us as an apprentice:
“After a couple of years at college, a few different jobs and becoming a mum of two boys, I wanted to do something for myself. Starting an apprenticeship with The Space Program was where it all began.
Back in the summer of 2018, I started as the apprentice business administrator. Despite being completely new to me, there was something about containers and self-storage that attracted me to this role. It was a new adventure and something I would enjoy learning about.
Since being with The Space Program, I have learnt many things which I never thought I would be able to do. Maths wasn’t my strong point and I have never been very confident when it comes to numbers but, with help from my colleagues, I have been able to grow my confidence and pass my maths exam which has helped within my role.
After completing my apprenticeship, I happily accepted a full-time position with the company. I now deal with all aspects of invoicing and support my colleagues with their roles when needed.
