Musings from a Mission Controller

Meet Ian, our Mission Controller at Bristol South Space Program:

Ian, Bristol South Space Program

“I was lucky to get this job as I applied for it just before COVID hit.  It was the only job that I saw that made me go ‘wow’ – so I knew it was for me.

I’m really enjoying being the Mission Controller here at the Bristol South Space Program.  It was a new venture, opening amidst the pandemic – a marvellous challenge.

It really is the perfect job for me.  I initially spread the word about the opening of our latest, secure self-storage facility on South Liberty Lane, Ashton via social media and the telephone.

And now I’m doing what I love doing; helping customers on a day-to-day basis.  I try my best to surprise each customer with the level of service we offer (in a good way, of course!).

Each customer is different with diverse requirements: it may be a house mover who needs to put their stuff in storage for a couple of months between properties.  It could be a business that needs 24/7 access to their container with someone on site to sign for their deliveries.

I am here to help in any way I can.

I started with 40 containers; we now have another 40 and there will be 200 in the end.  I look forward to meeting all our future customers – feel free to come and say ‘hello’.
