Buttercups Nursery School is a preschool located near the Bridgwater Space Program. Since the children are out of school for the summer, the workmen are moving in. The school is going to be renovated, decorated and the classrooms tidied up. The problem was the rooms were full of toys and equipment and the school didn’t have any storage space to store these items while they painted each room.
That’s where the Bridgwater Space Program was able to help.
The staff at the school loaded their cars and came down to our site on Market Way. After viewing our storage units, they decided that a 20-foot container would be ideal for them. It is large enough to store the first batch of equipment from the classrooms. As they had 24-hour access, they could fill the container up over the weekend before the painting started on Monday.
The staff soon saw the benefits of using our self storage. They found out that using a shipping container means:
- you can drive straight up to your unit
- there is level access for ease of loading and unloading
- you save money because they are much more cost-effective than warehouse-style self storage.
The staff also learnt that storing with us meant:
- the school had insurance for their stuff
- they benefitted from our 100% security record
- they were dealt with professionally since we are members of the Self Storage Association UK.
Within a few weeks, they had rented a second 20 foot and a 10-foot container. As more renovation work took place at the school, it became easier for them to move their equipment to our units rather than juggle it around the rooms in the school.
The decorating and tidying will continue over the summer months. The staff will return the furniture and equipment to the school ready for the children to start back in September.
The nursery has already decided to keep one of the units on hire long term. Whilst using self storage unit they have experienced the benefits it brings. Keeping a unit into the future will enable to store items affordably and securely without taking up valuable space at the school.
