The Space Program is delighted to sponsor Abbie Ward, co-captain of the Bristol Bears, for the 2023/24 season.
Abbie Ward;
Abbie is a five time Six Nations Grand Slam winner, who has won 61 caps for England. She was part of England’s 2017 and 2020 World Cup squads and was named in World Rugby’s Team of the Season for the past two years. Abbie and her husband, Head Coach, Dave Ward, have recently welcomed their first child. Abbie is keen to normalise motherhood in sport and show that professional athletes can be mums too. Bristol Bears Women is a top-flight women’s rugby club that competes in the Allianz Premiership Women’s Rugby. Their vision is to inspire their community through rugby success and they have ambitions of winning the league title.
Why we wanted to support the Bristol Bears and Abbie;

The Bears play at Ashton Gate, close to our Bristol South Space Program so there’s plenty of space to store their trophy when they bring home the title!
