Any regular readers may know that we are passionate about supporting the fantastic children’s charity, Gympanzees. We’re thrilled to announce a special event to raise funds for this great cause! 🌟
Why Gympanzees? Gympanzees is dedicated to supporting children and young people with disabilities, along with their families, by providing access to fun, fitness, and social activities. With 77% of children with disabilities unable to access regular leisure activities, the work Gympanzees does is vital. They are currently fundraising to open a permanent play, exercise, and social facility, which is sorely needed.
What Are We Doing to Help? We’re diving into various fundraising efforts, and one of the most exciting is our upcoming Skittles Night! Here are the details:
🗓️ Date: Saturday 17th August
⏰ Time: 6-10pm
📍 Location: The Lamb Inn, Worle near Weston-super-Mare
How Can You Participate? Come along for an evening of skittles fun! For just £5, you get 6 balls to try your luck at scoring the highest. The top scorer of the night wins half of the prize pot, with the other half going to Gympanzees. It’s a fantastic way to have fun and contribute to a worthy cause at the same time.
No need to pre-book – simply turn up on the evening ready to play and enjoy! Bring your friends, family, and anyone who loves a good time. It’s a wonderful opportunity to gather as a community and make a difference.
More Than Just Skittles: The Dragon Boat Race In addition to our Skittles Night, we’re also entering a team into Gympanzees’ Dragon Boat race on 21st September. We have set an ambitious goal to raise £1000 in sponsorship for Gympanzees. Your participation in our skittles event will help us paddle closer to achieving this target!
